Beyond those who play games online, there is another community of them who review these games and upload them to the video sharing website, YouTube. Jared Knabenbauer better known by his YouTube channel, ProJared is a member of this community.

He is a gamer and gamer known primarily for his comic video game review; its ProReviews, One Minute Reviews, and Nuzlocke series (playing a Pokémon game with several self-imposed rules). It tends to review older games than newer ones and also occasionally posts videos from the top ten list every year.

Jared was born on August 28, 1985, older than his fraternal twin brother, Derek, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Her brother is also a YouTube personality known as DKlarations. They played early editions of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) with their friends as they grew up. His fondness for D&D games and discussions must have inspired his previous uploads to his channel and name, DMJared.

He launched his Internet career on YouTubeDMJared on November 20, 2006, but started watching videos and uploading his reviews in 2010. That’s when he switched to ProJared so he could apply to other gaming platforms.

He had always known that he could do better game reviews than others, so he took to reviewing games. His first review was the one he poked fun at Two Worlds which he felt didn’t make a good and honest review. Others include Drake’s reviews of the 99 Dragons and Hydlide.

His facial expressions and sarcastic style added more weight to his internet notoriety. He is dedicated to his job and has the ability to produce high quality comedy with professional touches. This trait along with his down to earth and relatable performances endeared him to his fans and viewers.

Jared is also an actor and writer and is known for ProJared (2010), The National Dex (2012) and PeanutButterGamer (2009). He has a separate channel, ProJaredPlays, where he plays the game, and covers new games as well as Nuzlocke Pokémon challenges.

Before Jared was employed at ScrewAttack, he was Assistant Store Manager at GameStop from 2004 to 2009. He served as ScrewAttack’s GameAttack Manager until 2011 when he was officially hired into the ScrewAttack team. Jared was the host of the famous Tough News and additionally, co-hosted SideScrollers as well as written episodes of the video game Vault and Top Tens

This YouTuber star in 2015 made an appearance on the first episode of Nickelodeon Game Shakers. It was his first television role. Additionally, he appeared as a guest on Table Flip in their role-playing game. King of Tokyo and Werewolf Ultimate Night. Later, Jared Knabenbauer appeared as the first guest on Grumpcade, where he performed Vice Project Doom with Ross.

In 2016, Projared worked with Commander Holly, NateWantsToBattle, and Anne Prosser Robinson in Dice, Camera, Action!, a Dungeons & Dragons series He played the role of Diath Woodrow, his long time favorite Rogue who loves playing his character because most of his personal traits are a bit of him (Jared). The character, Woodrow, also mirrors how Jared sees himself as reacting to or handling situations but is actually more serious than him (Jared).

Cosplayer, designer, and award-winning designer Heidi Lynn O’Ferrall is the wife of gamer, game critic, actor, and writer Jared Knabenbauer. She was born in Texas on April 1, 1988. The two internet personalities and gamers married in June 2014 and Heidi is featured in Jared’s Asagao Academy series. She portrays Hana’s role in the series and makes all the decisions in the game.

Heidi graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Technology and Design in 2015 from the University of Texas at Arlington. Before graduating from college, she had been an intern at God Save the Queen Fashions in 2014.

She worked in the art department for the short film Solstice and in an episode of Game Hunters where she appeared as herself. Heidi is very good at leatherwork and sewing and also excels at makeup and mousse. Her cosplays have become more and more intricate and impressive over the years. Most of her works can be seen on her website and on Twitter where she exhibits them.
