Harry Styles Takes Part in Australian Tradition: Drinking Alcohol from Shoe During Concert (Video)
British singer Harry Styles surprised fans during his concert in Australia by drinking alcohol from his shoe as part of a local tradition.
During his first show in Australia in Perth on February 20, the Grammy award-winning artist participated in the “shoey” tradition, made popular by Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo.
Video footage captured by fans shows Styles, 29, pouring an alcoholic beverage into his shoe and drinking it in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
“This is one of the most disgusting traditions I’ve ever [heard of],” Styles joked, expressing his disbelief at the custom.

After completing the shoey, Styles humorously remarked, “I feel like a different person,” as he put his $780 Adidas x Gucci shoe back on.
“I feel ashamed of myself. It feels so personal. Such an intimate moment to be shared with so many people,” he added. “I’ll be discussing this with my therapist at length. At length.”
Drinking from a shoe has become an established Australian tradition, with Styles joining in as part of his concert experience in the country.
Notably, the singer recently achieved success at the 2023 Grammys, winning two awards, including Album of the Year.
